Can you believe it’s June already?! I hope you enjoyed a beautiful and creative Spring! May was definitely a creative month for me, and as such it flew by quickly. Below, I share some of what I’ve been up to as well as a fun and timely extra….
- Zippers come with a learning curve and are intimidating for a lot of sewists. In this video I share the basics, plus some great tips and extras such as how to build your own custom zippers and how to add nice touches like zipper tabs and stops.
- As a great practice project for installing those zippers, I created this FREE zipper pouch tutorial for you all! Learn while sewing up an adorable and practical zipper pouch, and you may just have so much fun that you decide to create a few more 😃.
- By special request, I created this Journal & Book Cover pattern. I’ve been sewing these covers for years, and so when a student from a recent class I taught asked if I had a pattern for it, I promised to make her one. I’m so glad I did! It’s been super popular and makes the perfect, personalized gift for any occasion.
- Father’s Day is just around the corner, but it’s not too late to sew an heirloom quality gift for your favorite dad! The Creazioni Slim Bifold Wallet is a breeze to sew up using cork fabric. I love working with cork because it’s durable like leather but can be sewn on a domestic machine. If you’ve never sewn on cork before, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
- Finally, I just launched my Amazon Shop for anyone interested in the tools and supplies that I rely on and love using. (As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you.) 🪡.
Thank you, friend, for inspiring me to share my joy of sewing! Stay creative this June, and I’ll be back next month with another quick update. Until then, happy sewing!!
