SEWING MACHINES – I’ve owned several over the years and learned the type of machine best suited for a given task. Though I love my Singer machine for all of it’s decorative stitches and the ease with which it handles specialized tasks (like button holes), I would not recommend it for sustained heavy duty bag making. My Juki is truly the best sewing machine I’ve ever owned and I wouldn’t trade it for any other machine on the market; it is a rugged, semi-professional machine that can sew through just about anything (short of leather) and handles bulky seams with ease. I often refer to my Juki as the Maserati of sewing machines. Singer, Brother and others make a nice machine, but Juki is in a class of it’s own!
